2006-2013 Rav4: Transfer Case Fluid Change

WHY
The transfer case is relatively maintenance free, however it's a good idea to change the fluid from time to time. In addition to normal wear, venting to the atmosphere can bring in moisture and contaminants leading to gasket failure and corrosion. Fresh fluid keeps seals and metal parts happy.
WHEN
Replace your transfer case fluid every 30-60,000 miles. The range depends on factors such as off-roading, snow, temperature extremes, etc.
METHOD
The fluid exchange is simply a drain and refill. On this transfer case, you want to fill it until it runs slightly out the fill hole.
